Ballroom Dance of NJ is very happy to offer you CHILDREN / JUNIOR GROUP CLASSES.
Group Classes for children is a great way to start ballroom dancing - just choose between our group classes by appropriate level and age of your child. Look to our CALENDAR.

What dance programs can you offer for children?
Ballroom Dance of NJ brings to your attention group lessons for children for Latin and Ballroom dances. Our groups are held in our beautiful venue on Sundays. NOTE: in during summer time 2020 - our group classes on TUESDAY - please check CALENDAR.
What type of the dances can you offer for children’s dance program?
In the initial training in the lesson, it is proposed to teach your child both the Latin program (such dances as Samba, Jive, ChaChaCha, Rumba...) and Ballroom (such dances as Waltz, Tango, Quickstep ...).
At a higher level of dancing, we divide the groups in different direction of interest.
Do you divide children by the age category? How about dance level?
In our group lessons we divide children into age categories and always at different levels of dancing.
In the initial training of the lesson, it is proposed to teach your child both the Latin program (such dances as Samba, Jive, ChaChaCha, Rumba...) and Ballroom (such dances as Waltz, Tango, Quickstep ...).
At a higher level of dancing, we divide the groups in a different direction of interest.
Do you offer any Holiday Party or / and kind of dance performance for children?
Christmas Party in December:
During the dance season from September to June, our company hosts special events for your children, where they can perform and please you and your loved ones.
The first event is on the Christmas Party in December, our young talents will be able to show what they learned or how they improved their dance skills from the beginning of the dance season.
Latin and Ballroom dances in a competitive version will be offered to your attention. And also, at your wish and your request, we will prepare with your child at private classes and perform solo numbers with interesting New Year's inserts.
Every year at our holiday party, we are glad to meet with Santa Clause - a lot of happiness, laughter, dancing and, of course, well-deserved gifts for our super dancers!
June Recital:
By the middle of June we will prepare new event and invite you to our next Dance Recital.
Again we will offer you to watch, enjoy and appreciate your emotions and applause for those performances and the dance mastery that we taught your children throughout the season!
During the same party, we will offer our non-ordinary show program - Talent Show!
As we know, many of your children are involved in other sports or arts, such as playing the piano, singing, violin, guitar or marshal arts, fencing, gymnastics, tennis, etc. etc. We will try our best to combine your child's passion with ballroom dancing!
Believe us - it is very interesting and peculiar!
Can we invite our relatives and our child friends to one of your dance events?
Ballroom Dance of NJ are very family oriented and therefore, at all our events for children, we are very pleased to see both parents and relatives!
We will do our best so that everyone present has a great mood and has the opportunity to learn and dance such social dances as Salsa, Waltz, Bachata, Foxtrot, Swing with their wonderful children!
When is it possible to sign-up our child to one of your Children / Junior Programs?
It is preferable to make your decision and sign-up your child to one of your Children / Junior Programs in the beginning of the season.
Our schedule for NEW group classes will be ready on the end of July or beginning of August.
We understand that for various reasons you can be late to sign-up a child in our groups at the beginning of the season and therefore we are happy to accept children both at the beginning and during the dance semesters; it depends on the availability.
If you do not have any Group Classes for my child, do you offer any alternative way?
If we do not have the opportunity to enroll your child in groups that already exist - we offer you an alternative - either private classes or you could be on the waiting list for new group lessons.

Children's program for Dance Season of 2019/2020
We would like to take a moment and introduce you with new membership for 2019-2020.
We divided all our children classes for two parts – SEASON #1 & SEASON #2
SEASON #1:
- September – 9/08, 9/15, 9/22. 9/29 – 4 classes
- October – 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27 – 4 classes
- November – 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 11/24 – 4 classes
- December – 12/1, 12/8, 12/15 – 3 classes
- FINAL DAY – Christmas Party 12/15 (one ticket already included…) – dance recitals and show-dance presentation for parents, relatives, friends and Santa Clause.
SEASON #2:
- January – 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26 – 4 classes
- February – 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23 – 4 classes
- March – 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29 – 5 classes
- April – 4/5, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26 – 4 classes
- May – 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24, 5/31 – 5 classes
- June – 6/7, 6/14 – 2 classes
- FINAL DAY – Talent Show 6/14 (one ticket already included…) – dance recitals and Talent Showcase presentation for parents, relatives, friends.
How many classes will be in Season #1 and Season #2?
- The whole SEASON #1 includes 15 classes.
- SEASON #2 includes 24 classes.
Students will need to sign up for the whole season.
Please make sure to calculate the number of classes for each season if your child is planning to have TWO or THREE group classes, for example – Ballroom & Latin group classes on a certain level, we are going to do separately…
Is their any guideline about payments; when do we need to pay for Season #1 and Season #2?
Payment in SEASON #1 have to be made in full by the first class – $277.50 (price for each class $18.50…).
Payment in SEASON #2 can be made in full $444 by the first class or can be made in TWO payments:
- by the first class – $222
- second payment by 3/22/2020 – $222
How much will season #1 cost for Children / Junior Program?

Do you have any make up classes due to bad weather condition?
If BDNJ decides to cancel classes due to bad weather or other reasons – we will offer Make-up Class on following Wednesday (after canceled on Sunday…).
For example, if BDNJ cancels class on Sunday 01/12 because of bad weather condition – we will offer a make-up class on the following Wednesday 01/15 at 5:30pm).
NOTE: Ballroom Dance of NJ will not offer make-up class that are cancelled by students at any circumstances.
What is the Cancelation Policy at Ballroom Dance of NJ?
Cancelation policy – Ballroom Dance of NJ needs to receive a notification letter from parents in writing, ONE MONTH in advance, then we will re-calculate classes and refund the balance to you.
What is the minimum and maximum amount of time you will recommend to take ballroom dance classes for my child in Ballroom Dance of NJ?
Ballroom Dance of NJ would like to deliver to your kids, high quality information about technical and musical aspect, physical preparation and coordination, communication and many many more areas…
And to do that we need yours and children’s commitment. And we have to see your kids consistently – MINIMUM once a week.
If your child become more interested in ballroom dancing we will recommend you to have 2 to 3 group classes and practice sessions and 1 to 2 private classes a week.
