When is a good time to start our classes to be ready for our wedding?
Although it is difficult to answer this specifically, the earlier you start, the more benefit you will receive from your classes. Everyone learns at different speeds, everyone has different abilities, and some may have previous dance experience. We can help you assess how much work will need to be done, so the earlier you contact us, the better.
Can we bring our favorite song/music?
Yes, please do bring your favorite song/music. We recommend that you bring more than one choice as some songs are more difficult to dance to than others. If you don't have a favorite choice, we will be happy to suggest a song/music for you.
Can we choose what type of dance we would like?
Yes, you can choose whatever dance you would like. We will also suggest from our experience what may be the best dance for you to learn.
For example, for formal weddings, foxtrot, waltz, and rhumba work well; for a funky wedding, salsa or swing may be better. Of course, the choice will always be yours.
If we would like to have special steps or poses, can you help us put that together?
We would be very happy to help you learn special steps for your music. If you've seen an attractive pose in a movie, we will be very happy to show you the best way to do it and how to do it. We will be able to put together a beginning and ending to your dance specifically created for you, your needs, and your physical ability.
Can you help us choose music?
Yes, we would be very happy to help you. We have a large library of different kinds of music and can assist you in this way.
Can we invite our close friends to our Private Lessons?
Close friends can be present for any private lessons, but they will not be able to participate.
Private Lessons are created just for you. We do have a program called "Wedding Dances for Family and Friends”, which is for up to 5 people including parents, friends, or other family members. The Private Wedding class is for 2 people only: the bride and the groom.
What are the benefits of Private Lessons versus Group Classes?
The Wedding Dance is a special dance usually with specific music. The only way to create this is with Private Lessons.
With Wedding Group Classes, you will be taught the most common dances that can be done at a wedding, but nothing will be customized—for example, there won’t be any special entrances or endings choreographed.
How many lessons do we have to take to learn how to dance?
Everyone has different abilities and backgrounds. Our dance instructors will be happy to assist you and suggest a program for your specific needs.
We have wedding couple dance programs that last 5, 10, and 15 classes. When you meet our dance instructors, they will be able to help you choose.
Can we bring our parents to our Private Lessons?
Yes, you can bring your parents. They cannot participate in the class since the Private Lessons are created just for you. We do have a program called "Wedding Dances for Family and Friends”, which is for up to 5 people including parents, friends, or other family members. The Private Wedding class is for 2 people only: the bride and the groom.
By your experience anything you can suggest for us to know or bring with us at our first / initial dance class?
From our experience - we have couple suggestions for you...
- Please bring most of your favorite music, so we can start working immediately toward to your goal.
- We strongly recommending to bring shoes which you planing to wear at your event or similar style.
- Important to know for us the plan of room and approximately size of dance floor, so in during of creation of the show-dance we have to make sure - you will be looks amazing at your performance.
